With this really neat little book now in store, an addition to the “My Cool” series, you can’t help but dream of snug little cubby holes around the world. From workshops to music rooms, writing rooms to guest houses, each “shed” has been lovingly built or adapted to suit the specific needs of their owners. Which reminded me of the sweet little bathers’ shacks I saw near the town of Ærøskøbing on the island of Ærø in Denmark. With no electricity or running water, we peered in to see what each occupant needed in a beach shack. Tables, chairs, picnic supplies, umbrellas, candlesticks, but nothing beat the gorgeous array of colours and patterns that they were all painted on the outside.
